Altar Servers

I feel a longing and a need to be a Saint.
I did not know it was so easy to be one,
But now I see that one can be holy and happy too.
I feel I simply must be a Saint
—St. Dominic Savio, Patron Saint of Altar Servers

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SERVE AT THE LORD’S TABLE?

Yes … You!

All young people from Saint Anthony of Padua Parish are invited to become Altar Servers, beginning with 5th grade through High School. Anyone with the desire and dedication to serving at our Lord's Table is welcomed! If you have been thinking about the Altar Server’s Ministry, then you are being called to a special service.

Thank You for saying YES!

Role The altar server’s role is an important part in the celebration of Mass. They assist the priest by holding the prayer book, setting and cleaning the altar and handing the priest the things they need during the Mass. Alter Servers participate fully in the Liturgy through prayer, song and action.
Training Training is conducted twice a year. Dates and times will be announced in the weekly bulletin. Training is also done on an “as needed basis”.
Schedules

Schedules are usually produced to cover 2 to 3 months of Sunday Masses.
The schedules are mailed directly to your home. The schedules are flexible so that if you can’t serve on a particular Mass you have time to arrange a substitute.

Registration Registration forms may be obtained by calling the Rectory, (717) 394-0669, or by email: altarservers@stanthonylancaster.com
